Answers for travellers and hosts, in English and Nepali, and how to contact PLAN E support.
For travellers
How do I book an experience?
Open an experience, choose a departure date and the number of guests, and check the price in Nepali rupees. Continue to payment. When the payment is confirmed you get a booking reference, and the booking appears under Plans in the app.
How do I pay?
You pay online through one of the payment providers shown at checkout. Which providers appear depends on what is switched on at the time. Prices are in Nepali rupees. PLAN E never sees your card or wallet details; you enter them on the payment provider's page.
When is my booking confirmed?
Only after our server has checked the payment with the payment provider. Coming back from the payment page is not enough by itself, so wait for the confirmation screen and message.
I was charged but my booking is not confirmed. What now?
Do not pay again. Email us the booking reference (or the time and amount of the payment) and we will check it with the payment provider. If your payment arrived after the held place had expired and the departure was full, the booking is marked as expired and a refund is prepared for you.
Can I cancel, and how much is refunded?
You can cancel from the booking in the app. The refund depends on how close the departure is and why the booking is cancelled, and the terms are shown before you book. The full rules are in the Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy. If we cancel a departure because of weather, the booking is refunded in full.
How long does a refund take?
Our team repays you through the payment provider you used and records it. The time it takes to reach your wallet or bank depends on that provider. If you have not received it, email us with the booking reference.
How do I show my booking to the host?
Open the booking under Plans and show the ticket code to your host at check-in.
Do I need the app to book?
No. You can search, compare and book experiences on this website from a desktop, tablet or phone. The app offers the same bookings plus tickets you can open at check-in.
Who arranges trekking permits such as TIMS, ACAP or Sagarmatha?
Each listing states what it needs. The host tells you whether entrance fees and trail permits are included in the package or handled on arrival. Check the listing and ask the host before you travel.
How are hosts checked?
People who want to host apply in the app or on the website and upload documents. The PLAN E team reviews each application before the host can publish experiences. This is a review of the documents and details provided, not a guarantee of any experience.
How do I leave a review?
After your trip is marked completed, open it under Trips and write your review. Reviews can only be written for completed bookings.
Can I use the app in Nepali?
Yes. Change the language in Profile, Language and region.
How do I delete my account?
In the app go to Profile and choose Delete account, or use the account deletion page on the website. There is a short waiting period during which you can cancel the request. Some records, such as payments, refunds and accepted terms, are kept as required for accounting and legal reasons.
What if there is an emergency on a trip?
Contact local emergency services first. The app has an Emergency screen with numbers and information, and the Emergency Policy explains how PLAN E can help.
Host onboarding guide
For people who want to list their own experience on PLAN E.
1. Apply
Create an account and choose Become a host (in the app under Profile, or on the website under Become a host). Fill in the application steps: about you and your experience, location and photos, and your documents. You can save and come back later.
2. Prepare your documents
The application asks for identity documents (front and back), a business document if you have one, a safety document if it applies, photos of you and your experience, and a logo if you have one. Clear, readable photos help the review go faster.
3. Wait for the review
After you submit, your application moves through submitted, under review and verification. If we need something more, the status becomes action required and you can fix it and resubmit. You will be notified when a decision is made.
4. Create your first listing
Once approved, create a listing with a description, price, group size, included items and departure dates. Submit it for review. When it is approved it is published and travellers can book it.
5. Manage bookings and check guests in
See your bookings and availability on the host dashboard. On the day, enter or scan the guest's booking reference and ticket code to check them in. Check-in can be recorded even with a weak signal and syncs later.
6. Get paid
Add a payout account in the host dashboard. It needs to be verified before payouts are made. After a trip is completed, your earnings, minus the PLAN E commission in your terms, are paid out in periodic payout runs.
7. If you must cancel
Tell the guest and support as early as possible. Guests are refunded when a host cancels, and repeated cancellations by a host can lead to suspension. Read the Community Guidelines and the Booking Terms for hosts.
